Rome

The floor has been partially re-created to show what it looked like when in use.



Pathways below the (now-gone) floor of the Coliseum - this is where the animals were and when the Coliseum was rediscovered there was a beautiful garden here. Researchers believe the seeds of plants and flowers were on the animals and flourished once the Coliseum ceased to be used.
